Our Story
Engenion was born out of necessity and innovation. Although we have only been around since November 2023, our roots go back much further, to the early days of Integrated Systems GmbH.
Engenion was born out of necessity and innovation. Although we have only been around since November 2023, our roots go back much further, to the early days of Integrated Systems GmbH. Originally developed to manage internal projects and track working hours, the in-house software called WEBLET laid the groundwork for what would eventually become Engenion. However, Engenion is more than just an upgraded version of WEBLET—it’s a revolutionary project portfolio management (PPM) tool designed to handle the complexities of large-scale projects across industries.
Our journey started when we realized the potential to transform internal project management systems into something much more dynamic, efficient, and adaptable. Over the years, Engenion has evolved into a robust solution for companies facing the challenge of managing vast amounts of data, resources, and employees across multiple projects. With a clear focus on cost transparency and data connectivity, we developed Engenion to meet these demands in the most efficient way possible.
At Audi
A pivotal moment in our development came in 2022, when we collaborated with Audi on their complex development projects. What started as a customized version of WEBLET tailored specifically for Audi, became a game-changer. The project, dubbed NUMB3R5, transformed our software into a fully customized interface designed to manage Audi’s vast development planning processes.
Through this partnership, we introduced new modules and interfaces that helped Audi track project milestones, manage resources, and monitor financial data—all while maintaining maximum transparency. The success of this project highlighted the scalability and flexibility of our solution, setting the stage for Engenion to become a product for the broader market.
GFT
Engenion is part of a larger story that began with GFT. In 2021, Integrated Systems GmbH merged with GFT after being acquired. This marked a turning point, allowing us to leverage GFT’s global expertise of more than 12.000 IT experts worldwide and resources while remaining focused on our mission: to create cutting-edge software solutions. After the spin-off, we became GFT Software Solutions, continuing our legacy of innovation while pushing the boundaries of project management software.
As part of the GFT family, we are committed to delivering excellence, drawing on years of experience in developing and managing complex software solutions. With GFT’s backing, Engenion is well-positioned to serve corporations across the globe, helping them navigate the intricacies of project planning, budget management, and resource allocation with confidence and clarity. Engenion is part of the GFT AI.DA Marketplace, a platform that combines predictive and generative AI technologies and data analytics. The GFT AI.DA Marketplace promotes the development and introduction of AI applications by providing a comprehensive collection of use cases, methods, reference architectures and preconfigured solutions.
Partnerships
At Engenion, we believe in the power of collaboration. Over the years, we’ve partnered with industry leaders like Audi, leveraging their insights to refine and enhance our software. However, our vision extends far beyond the automotive industry. From manufacturing to technology, we aim to support businesses across various sectors, helping them manage their projects, budgets, and resources with precision and ease.
Our partnerships enable us to stay at the forefront of innovation, ensuring that Engenion continues to evolve to meet the ever-changing needs of large corporations. By listening to our partners, we’ve been able to create a tool that not only solves today’s challenges but is also flexible enough to adapt to future demands.
